Briley {Party Dress}

I took some cute pics of Briley in her new Minnie Mouse Birthday dress. I bought it from a lady on etsy.com. She did an awesome job.. it fits perfect and Briley loves it!

Happy {2nd} Birthday Briley!

Two years ago, my first daughter came into the world today. I'm so blessed to have such an amazing daughter. She pulled through heart surgery at 6 months old, and now she's two years old.. happy and healthy. Happy birthday sweet girl!

 This is Connor. My best friend's little boy!

This photo is definitely my favorite from his first photo shoot. I had his mom put a little red kissy on his cheek for some shots of him by himself sleeping in his cute little outfits... and this shot was actually taken while we were transitioning from one pose to another. He just looked right at me.. checking out the camera and I'm so glad I snapped the picture because it turned out so beautiful! This goes to show that you just gotta keep clicking away and you're bound to get something good!

New Prop

Look at what my husband found me at Goodwill! AWESOME find for $16. This is going to make a really awesome prop not to mention a great new addition to our living room!

Antique-ing!

So this past weekend, my husband and I went to an Antique store in the Dahlonega square... we found some really awesome things. I was so glad I had my camera to snap some pics:

Cropping

Cropping a photo can give your photo a whole new look! I experimented with the same photo and did some light editing to show you how much of a difference cropping can make..

 This one looks like more of a direct shot by cutting both sides to make the image center:

As you can see, I completely cut out the right side to make the subject off center. Gives a really nice openness and nice flow leading up to the subject:
This next one I completely cut out most of the subject matter and made it into more of a close up portrait of just her face, leaving it off center to have more of an artsy feel:

   Love this picture. I am beginning to notice that the best pictures just happen... pictures that are forced.. look forced. And this one just turned out GREAT! She just leaned her head over our couch arm and I snapped the picture!

Re-Do!

The awesome thing about photography is that you can always go back and re-edit photos. That is exactly what I did today... I photographed the Johnson family last week and the pictures turned out awesome.. except one picture of all three of them together...

Here is the original photo un-editted:

great composition.. just really terrible coloring... (on account of no lighting equipment..)

Sooo.. I editted it and it became this photo:

Still great composition.. but I just didnt like the "haze" and the still visible orangy tint.

Sooo.. I revisited the picture today and Im really happy with the way it turned out:
